About the role

Internship in Hong Kong focusing on cybersecurity engineering. Pairing with mentors to work on real-world security projects, investigations, incident response, and development of tools and automation to improve security workflows. Emphasis on learning, collaboration, and educating the firm on risk and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Investigating alerts, digging through activity chains, and hunting and responding to evil.
  • Building tools and automation to streamline, automate, and enhance workflows.
  • Developing and applying in-house or open-source security tooling.
  • Acting as an ambassador of security best practices and helping educate the firm on risk and security trade-offs.

Qualifications

  • Currently majoring or planning to major in computer science or a similar field
  • Interest in cybersecurity and technology (e.g., CTFs, home labbing, personal projects)
  • Strong programming ability and learning potential
  • Familiar with threat modeling and communicating security trade-offs
  • Ability to explain cybersecurity decisions and thought processes
  • Adaptability under pressure and willingness to learn from mistakes
  • Curiosity, perseverance, and collaborative attitude
  • Fluent in English
