About the role

We’re looking to hire a trustworthy Global Communications Review Specialist to execute communications reviews for Jane Street globally. This role sits within our Legal & Compliance team and will coordinate with individuals across offices to monitor our internal electronic communications for regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include reviewing alerts from surveillance systems, applying judgement to determine escalation, and analyzing sophisticated communications to identify regulatory concerns. The role may involve various electronic-communications-related tasks and cross-office projects.

Responsibilities

  • Review alerts generated by surveillance systems and determine whether flagged communications should be escalated.
  • Analyze electronic communications by examining substance, business context, and potential regulatory concerns.
  • Collaborate with teams across offices on projects and tasks related to electronic communications and regulatory compliance.
  • Escalate tasks as necessary and follow up to close loop on tasks and projects.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a legal and/or compliance environment; no specific regulatory or policy exposure required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Discreet and trustworthy; able to use good judgment to make real-time decisions.
  • Clear communication with colleagues and external partners.
