About the role

Procurement Manager to build and own procurement at Retell AI as the company scales. Responsible for vendor selection, sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing vendor management across the organization, partnering with Finance, Legal, Engineering, IT, HR, and leadership to maximize value and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Own procurement across the company, from sourcing through contracting and renewals
  • Lead vendor selection, evaluation, and negotiation
  • Manage strategic software, infrastructure, and other company spend
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and vendor consolidation
  • Build procurement processes, policies, and approval workflows from scratch
  • Partner with Finance and Legal on contracts, budgets, and vendor risk
  • Track company spend and improve visibility into vendor costs
  • Build strong relationships with key vendors and negotiate favorable terms
  • Use automation and AI to make procurement faster and more efficient
  • Help build the procurement function as Retell continues to scale.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or purchasing
  • Strong vendor negotiation and contract negotiation experience
  • Owned meaningful company spend of over $25M
  • Experience at a fast-growing technology company or startup
  • Experience with SaaS, software, or technical procurement
  • Analytical and comfortable working with spend data
  • Ability to operate independently without much existing structure
  • Built procurement processes or functions from scratch
  • Moves quickly and avoids unnecessary bureaucracy
  • Strong communicator and able to work across Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, Engineering, IT, and HR
