About the role

Lead Data Scientist role focused on experimentation, causal inference, and scalable data products to drive business value at Snap Inc. Includes cross-functional leadership, analytics strategy, and advancing AI-enabled data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • - Act as the organization subject matter expert for key experimentation and causal inference methodologies
  • - Lead medium to large projects encompassing multiple groups and stakeholders across the organization
  • - Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, sustained statistics, ML, and data products for internal tooling
  • - Translate complex statistical concepts into strategic approaches that align with OKRs and influence executive decision-making
  • - Establish a positive, inclusive team environment
  • - Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, researchers to solve problems and conduct analytics studies
  • - Conduct in-depth analysis of all data sources, test hypotheses, identify patterns, provide business context
  • - Lead development and implementation of regular insights share-outs to amplify the consumer voice
  • - Deliver on data science and analytics roadmap with continuous improvement, accurate reporting and measurement
  • - Provide strategic direction, project clarity, methodological consultation and results
  • - Drive a culture of quality, innovation and experimentation
  • - Utilize AI tools to develop scalable data solutions with rigorous statistical integrity

Qualifications

  • - Bachelor's Degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • - 7+ years of post-Bachelor’s experience in quantitative analysis and/or data science; or Master’s + 6+ years; or PhD + 3+ years
