About the role

Solutions Engineer at Versapay responsible for showcasing the value of fintech solutions, building trust, addressing client challenges, and removing technical barriers during the sales process in a remote Canada-based role.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers: conduct detailed discovery sessions to understand customer needs, uncover industry challenges, and identify value-added opportunities for their processes.
  • Solution design and demonstration: build, customize, and showcase innovative solutions using Versapay’s application suite and related partner technologies.
  • Be a trusted advisor: partner with customers and prospects to align their business requirements with Versapay’s technology capabilities, articulating how our solutions solve key pain points.
  • Support sales cycles: provide technical expertise during RFIs/RFPs, propose tailored configurations and integrations, and address objections confidently.
  • Stay ahead of the curve: continuously enhance knowledge through product, sales, and technical training; maintain certifications.
  • Drive results: collaborate with management to set and achieve quarterly and annual goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: work with product, sales, and customer success teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Travel: occasional travel across the US and Canada to engage with clients and partners, exhibit at conferences, and build relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar consultative role in a FinTech company or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, Payments, or similar financial processes.
  • Experience with enterprise-level selling and customer-facing roles.
