Product Designer
Hybrid (New York City)$140k - $170kFull-timePosted 4w ago
About the role
Product Designer role focused on end-to-end design for at-home healthcare software, collaborating closely with engineers and product managers to raise craft and build scalable design systems in a hybrid New York City office.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design of high-priority product areas, from early discovery and workflow mapping through high-fidelity design and shipped product.
- Design intricate, logic-heavy interfaces (like our clinical order flows) that turn dense, multi-step workflows into beautiful experiences users describe as effortless.
- Raise the craft bar across the product: sweat the details of typography, spacing, motion, and interaction states, and set the standard for what "done" looks like.
- Build and evolve our design system so quality scales with the team rather than depending on heroics.
- Prototype quickly and at high fidelity to pressure-test ideas face to face with real users.
- Develop deep empathy for clinicians, coordinators, and patients through direct research, and translate what you learn into opinionated design decisions.
- Partner closely with engineers through implementation, ensuring what ships matches what was designed.
Qualifications
- 3 - 7 years of product design experience shipping complex, workflow-heavy software in production, ideally B2B, healthcare, or other specialized professional tools.
- An online portfolio with visually compelling projects/projects that use visuals to guide users through a premium experience.
- Storytelling skills that get people excited about aesthetics.
- High bar for visual design and interaction.
- Mastery of Figma, including components, variables, and high-fidelity prototyping.
- Strong product thinking: you understand the "why" behind what you design and can push back with reasoning.
- Comfort working directly with engineers and product managers in a fast, high-ownership environment with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred: experience with design systems at scale, user research, and front-end fundamentals (AI, HTML/CSS, or React familiarity).

About Verse Medical
Software platform for in-home healthcare
As healthcare costs have increased, the patient's home has become incredibly important as a site of care. Yet, patients recovering at home are highly underserved. Patients can only get better at home if they receive the high-quality care that they need reliably. The existing in-home care process involves patchwork of different vendors, all connected through faxes by nurses. We're building modern, robust software that solves this challenge and brings this market online.
