About the role

Senior full-stack role at Strada to build and own core parts of an AI-driven insurance operations platform in Toronto, collaborating with customers and Forward Deployed Engineers to shape product and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Own meaningful features or system improvements end-to-end – from design to deployment
  • Shape architectural decisions, tooling, or infrastructure
  • Build relationships with Forward Deployed Engineers and customers to inform product direction
  • Take ownership of a core product area (conversational AI, workflows, or integrations) and drive its roadmap
  • Lead technical initiatives that ship directly to customers
  • Mentor newer engineers and help establish engineering best practices
  • Contribute to product and technical strategy as an early engineer at a high-growth company

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in full-stack web development, preferably at startups
  • Deep experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for design
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Track record of owning technically challenging, cross-functional projects
  • Customer-first mindset with ability to talk to users
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
