About the role

Emergent is hiring a Social Copywriter in Bangalore to create day-to-day content for social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn). The role focuses on short-form video scripts, captions, on-screen text, threads, community posts, and brand replies, primarily for US and Europe audiences. Full-time, based in Bangalore, reporting to Head of Brand and Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Write short-form video scripts and captions for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube on a daily cadence
  • Write posts and threads for X and LinkedIn
  • Spot trends and turn them into timely content (often within 48 hours)
  • Decide which trends to join or leave alone
  • Build content ideas that encourage participation and sharing
  • Run the brand account's replies and comment sections
  • Find real users who built something with Emergent and craft their stories into content
  • Collaborate with design and video teams to ensure scripts are producible
  • Track performance, share insights, and adjust approach based on metrics

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years writing and managing content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and LinkedIn
  • A body of work with measurable results
  • Strong understanding of internet culture in the US and Europe
  • Ability to work fast and make independent decisions
  • Comfort writing differently for each platform
