About the role

Principal Solutions Architect for APAC region, advising enterprise customers across Asia Pacific on technology strategy, architecture, and digital transformation using Cloudflare’s platform. Hybrid role based in India (Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi) with customer-facing, executive engagement, and cross-team enablement responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own long-term executive relationships across Cloudflare's most strategic APAC accounts; engaging CIOs, CTOs, and CISOs on multi-year technology agendas and positioning Cloudflare as a foundational platform.
  • Design and facilitate executive vision-setting and architecture workshops that produce multi-year roadmaps, reference architectures, and business cases with customers' enterprise architects and engineering leadership.
  • Translate industry trends (Zero Trust, Digital Sovereignty, AI workload security, cloud-to-edge migration) into actionable architectural strategies tailored to each customer.
  • Guide clients across the full engagement lifecycle from strategic discovery and architecture design through proof of concept, value realization, and expansion planning; proactively surface architectural opportunities with Sales and SE.
  • Elevate APAC Solutions Engineering by developing reusable workshop frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices; mentor Solutions Engineers in senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Represent Cloudflare externally at industry events, executive roundtables, and sector forums; produce content such as white papers and architectural guidance.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in technical presales, enterprise architecture, or IT leadership (e.g., Chief Architect, CTO, CISO).
  • Ability to operate at boardroom level and with engineering teams.
  • Experience leading executive-level workshops or architectural visioning engagements with tangible business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of transformation priorities for APAC enterprises: Zero Trust, cloud/network modernization, digital sovereignty and data residency, AI infrastructure, and large-scale app performance.
  • Experience with modern application architecture patterns (microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, CI/CD, serverless, edge compute).
  • Proactive track record of contributing to pipeline and account expansion through architectural influence; not just responding to requests.
  • Ability to enable and elevate peers through frameworks, enablement, and mentoring.
