About the role
ML-focused software engineering role building production-ready agents and systems for enterprise AI employees. You will own experiments and end-to-end delivery across research-to-production for multi-modal, tool-use, retrieval/memory and evaluation systems.
Responsibilities
- Design context, tools, skills and orchestration for multi-step agent systems across documents, slides, images, audio and video; optimize latency and cost with tests for reasoning, search, and verification.
- Own experiments and the system from problem definition to deployment, monitoring and failure analysis; collaborate with researchers and engineers across locations; deliver handoff to production.
Qualifications
- Depth in at least one area: agent/tool-use systems, post-training, reward modeling or RL environments, retrieval and memory, or evaluation design; ability to defend choices and explain tradeoffs.
- Evidence of zero-to-one ownership of a system, model, or research project from ambiguous problem to working result.
- Statistical judgment to size experiments, select baselines, and manage variation across runs; ability to identify real improvements vs biases.
- Production engineering judgment to debug across model and system boundaries and translate results into maintainable production code.
- Honest measurement mindset, favoring clean negative results over shipping unreliable improvements.
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience; strong research & experimentation track record.
