About the role

IT Engineer at Ema responsible for owning and automating corporate IT, devices, access, and compliance end-to-end, leveraging agentic automation to minimize manual work and ensure a great employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Agentic Workflows & Automation: Treat every recurring manual task as an automation candidate, extending existing systems and leveraging AI coding tools to design autonomous workflows.
  • Automated Identity & Access: Shift JML lifecycles, including global employee onboarding, Okta/SCIM provisioning, and access reviews from ticket-driven processes to policy-driven automation.
  • SaaS Lifecycle Automation: Programmatically maintain tool inventories, track utilization, and reclaim unused licenses automatically.
  • Automated Endpoint Security: Manage fleet MDM while automating OS patching, encryption baselines, and continuous drift detection.
  • Automated Compliance & Security: Generate audit evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and AI governance frameworks as a continuous byproduct of automated operations.
  • Operational Excellence: Standardize IT runbooks, manage integration registries, and deliver Tier 1/2 support with defined SLAs.
  • Advise other functions: Act as the in-house expert for Finance and HR regarding tool or subscription administration, access, licensing, renewals and billing questions.

Qualifications

  • Automation Instinct & Agentic Tools: Strong drive to eliminate repetitive work using AI coding tools, Python/Bash scripting, and API integrations.
  • IT & Security Operations: 0–2 years of experience managing Cloud/SaaS infrastructure, Okta/IdP, Google Workspace, and MDM platforms.
  • Security & Process Discipline: Strict adherence to security protocols, precise documentation habits, and sound judgment for compliance risks.
  • Communication & Documentation: Exceptional clarity in technical writing and verbal communication; maintain clear, concise documentation for all automated processes.
