About the role

Financial Analyst role at Smalls, focused on FP&A and reporting to support forecasting, budgeting, and cross-functional partnering. Individual contributor with growth path to Senior Analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Own components of the budgeting and in-year re-forecast cycle end to end — data gathering, financial modeling, and variance analysis
  • Support financial close by producing source materials and coordinating accurate, timely accruals with cross-functional partners
  • Build out automated reporting and FP&A processes leveraging AI tools and FP&A software
  • Provide financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering across functions to inform operational and strategic decisions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a related analytical role
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Solid grasp of the three financial statements and drivers behind them; ability to connect operational KPIs to financial line items
  • Strong communication skills to explain variances to non-finance stakeholders and collaborate with Operations
