About the role

We are building a new set of financial solutions for the companies that build, own, operate, and finance AI compute. This role combines deep compute/hardware insight with financial and business judgment to model costs, design solutions, assess risk, and communicate with investors and partners.

Responsibilities

  • - Compute economics: model total cost of ownership across hardware generations, configurations, locations, power, utilization, and contract structures.
  • - Solution design: collaborate with product, underwriting, and capital teams to structure financial solutions around compute assets and commitments.
  • - Diligence and risk: evaluate hardware generation, facility, power/cooling, utilization history, contract terms, and operator reliability.
  • - Hardware lifecycle: define asset aging, generation impact, refresh cycles, and depreciation of compute assets.
  • - Relationships: serve as the credible technical voice with cloud providers, GPU specialists, datacenters, hardware vendors, and financing partners.

Qualifications

  • - Know GPU infrastructure at scale, with familiarity of systems by generation (A100, H100, H200, B200, B300) and deployment, performance, power, and lifecycle differences.
  • - Experience building or running large GPU fleets or close collaboration to identify cost, risk, and failure modes (networking, scheduling, utilization, hardware failure).
  • - Experience on the commercial/financial side of compute (capacity contracts, cost/depreciation models, equipment financing/leasing, or investment diligence).
  • - Ability to translate technical detail into financial terms for investors, lenders, underwriters, or executives.
  • - Proven leadership: led teams and cross-functional programs; 12+ years of experience with at least 5 years leading teams or leaders.
