About the role

Senior engineer role in a small squad building AI-powered legal software. Hybrid work in Milan with frontend (Next.js/TypeScript) and backend (Python/Django) responsibilities, ownership of production systems, and collaboration with product and design.

Responsibilities

  • Make the technical decisions for what the squad ships, own those decisions in production
  • Help the engineers around you get better
  • You will work across the whole stack and ship features
  • Be deep on one side and fluent on the other to ship a feature alone when needed
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor others

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Shipped and operated systems that real users depended on
  • Experience using AI coding tools daily (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and ability to critique their outputs
  • Habit of reviewing other people’s code and contributing to team improvement
