About the role

Seasonal part-time on-site sales role at Sur La Table Boulder, focusing on customer service, product knowledge, transactions, and contributing to store sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provides an exceptional customer experience according to customer service standards.
  • Proactively seeks out customers in order to determine needs and sell items.
  • Maintains product knowledge and seeks training/resources as needed.
  • Works as part of a team to achieve the store’s sales plan and individual sales goals.
  • Shares product assortment and services such as gift registry and cooking classes with customers.
  • Demonstrates products upon request or as directed by a manager.
  • Follows Sur La Table policies and SOPs.
  • Maintains a clean store environment, including restrooms.
  • Processes transactions accurately and efficiently via POS (sales, returns, price checks, etc.).
  • Ensures pricing integrity, MOS products, stocks and replenishes the sales floor using FIFO and visual standards.
  • Records time worked according to policy.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication with staff and customers.
  • Protects customers, employees, and assets; reports safety risks.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by MOD/GM/SM.

Qualifications

  • 1 year retail sales experience (preferred).
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Proficient in POS systems.
