About the role

Senior Market Operations Analyst responsible for the operational success of Voltus' strategic markets, with expansion of BYOC across MISO and PJM. Owns processes, analyzes high-impact market data, leads new program builds, and mentors junior analysts in a fast-moving, minimally structured environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own your markets' operational success, including availability and offers, interval data collection, performance calculations, enrollment and post-event deadlines, on time and with minimal error; occasional night or weekend work during busy periods or new product launches.
  • Deliver high-stakes, high-visibility analyses that move revenue and shape market competitiveness.
  • Grow from hands-on execution to owning outcomes, potentially guiding teammates or managing junior analysts.
  • Lead the build-out of new programs and product capabilities, including transforming OR/PR programs to support batteries and launching new programs in SPP.
  • Be the subject matter expert for your markets, advising Product, Engineering, and Sales on complex market details.
  • Lead ambiguous decisions where no SOP exists, and drive root cause analysis on incidents with durable fixes.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in a role owning business-critical outcomes in an environment with minimal process scaffolding (energy or clean tech experience a plus).
  • Strong Python skills used to automate operational workflows; ability to describe a concrete end-to-end automation example. SQL is a plus.
  • Track record distilling complex situations into clear, actionable strategies with measurable business impact.
  • Genuine alignment with Voltus' mission to accelerate the clean energy transition.
  • Collaborative teammate with mentoring experience and enthusiasm for guiding junior staff.
  • Able to begin work by 8 AM Central Time.
