About the role

Senior CE role in Cloudflare's Go-To-Market team, acting as a quota-carrying technical advisor and primary architect across the customer journey from pre-sales validation to onboarding, deployment architecture, and expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Validation: lead technical deep-dive discovery with Account Executives, map customer infrastructure to Cloudflare architectures, define PoCs and evaluation plans, deliver tailored presentations and diagrams, address objections and edge-case requirements, determine deployment strategy (Customer/Partner/Cloudflare Professional Services).
  • Customer Adoption & Value Realization: oversee technical onboarding and implementation as primary engineering contact, design migration/onboarding blueprints, guide customer engineering teams, monitor health scores and telemetry to ensure rapid time-to-value and reduce deployment risk, collaborate with AEs on discovery, demos, onboarding, health, risk, and expansion.
  • Commercial Accountability & Expansion: carry a variable quota tied to new business and/or account growth, drive platform adoption, retention, and cross-sell/up-sell opportunities, lead QBRs translating capabilities to ROI for executives.
  • Trusted Advisory: maintain deep relationships with stakeholders throughout lifecycle, provide architecture/AI control and deployment guidance, identify deployment risks and remediation strategies.
  • AI Orchestration & Workflow Automation: leverage AI agents, LLMs, and internal tools to automate routine tasks and free time for strategic advisory.
  • Education & Enablement: collaborate with Enablement Team to create and govern technical resources, SOPs, architectural best practices, and technical guides.

Qualifications

  • - Experience in a customer-facing technical role (solutions engineering, customer engineering, professional services, sales engineering, technical account management, or Forward Deployed Engineer).
  • - Architectural mindset to white-board/design complex enterprise network and security architectures.
  • - Consultative/advisory skills to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for engineers and executives.
  • - Commercial mindset with experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments and SaaS metrics.
  • - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills bridging technical details to C-suite strategy.
  • - Technical breadth with depth in at least four areas: Internet fundamentals, Security, Performance, AI proficiency, Coding/Scripting, Developer Platform Fluency.
