P2P Data & Automation Lead
Databricks· Procurement
San Francisco, CA$186k - $255.8kFull-timePosted 3w ago
About the role
Procure-to-Pay transformation lead embedded in Procurement to design, deploy, and scale automation and data solutions within business workflows, driving rapid P2P process transformation under the Finance Data Strategy governance framework.
Responsibilities
- Own designated P2P sub-processes end to end — intake-to-PO, invoice exception handling, supplier onboarding, expense workflows — including process mapping, baseline metrics (cycle time, touch rates, exception volumes), and redesign.
- Translate pain points into structured requirements and solution designs within the Finance Data Strategy governance framework.
- Design, deploy, and scale automations directly within business workflows and the systems where work actually happens (ZIP, SAP, NetSuite, expense platform, BrickBuy) — including AI/LLM-assisted triage, auto-routing, data enrichment, exception auto-resolution, and notification/nudge logic.
- Operate on a ship-measure-iterate cadence: release minimum viable automations in weeks, instrument them from day one, and refine based on usage data and user feedback.
- Build and maintain P2P datasets, dashboards, and metrics (cycle time, Fast Pass performance, first-pass yield, policy compliance, automation coverage, adoption rates) and report them in existing operating rhythms.
- Own user adoption and change management: design role-based training, create launch communications, FAQ/help content, and go-live announcements; run feedback loops with change champions; mitigate resistance.
- Manage day-to-day intake and backlog for automation and data requests across Procurement; triage, prioritize, publish roadmap, and make trade-off calls.
- Engage stakeholders: partner with Procurement ops, Finance Data team, CIO org, and managed services; represent Procurement in governance forums; align automation work with parallel initiatives in the organization.
Qualifications
- 4–8 years in data analytics, process automation, or operations within P2P, procurement, or finance, with demonstrable automation or data products shipped and scaled.
- Hands-on technical skills: SQL and Python (or equivalent), workflow and integration tooling (iPaaS, RPA, or native platform automation), and dashboarding/BI.
- Experience building on the Databricks platform and applying LLM/AI tooling to business workflows is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of P2P systems and data — ERP (SAP or NetSuite), ZIP or similar intake/orchestration platforms, and expense management tools — including data flow between systems.
- Experience operating within a data governance framework: certified data sources, data quality standards, access controls, and audit/SOX considerations.
- Change management fluency: training, communications, champion networks, adoption metrics.
- Strong prioritization and stakeholder management: ability to manage intake, say no with rationale, and communicate to diverse audiences.
- Experience in high-growth, multi-entity organizations is a plus; certification in change management (Prosci, ADKAR) or Lean/Six Sigma preferred but not required.
