About the role

Compliance Operations Specialist 1 at Twilio, remote-first role based in Colombia, monitoring Twilio traffic (voice, SMS, email) to ensure legality, compliance, and alignment with policies (Voice, Messaging, Acceptable Use) and CTIA requirements; focuses on fraud prevention, investigation, and resolving non-compliant activity.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate cases quickly and efficiently, perform analysis to understand bad actor behavior and develop subject matter expertise in compliance investigations
  • Protect Twilio customers and consumers by identifying bad actors and non-compliant activity, taking action daily while minimizing false positives
  • Identify trends, root causes, and recommend preventative solutions to stop bad actors from being successful
  • Use call detail records & aggregate traffic data to identify patterns and determine a set of actions
  • Resolve urgent issues impacting businesses, carriers and consumers worldwide
  • Use Twilio’s tools and investigative powers to detect and prevent non-compliant activity
  • Provide support for customers by email to ensure excellent customer experience

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings
  • 1-2 years experience in fraud, abuse or compliance in ecommerce, FinTech, or telecommunications
  • Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a bias for action
  • Empathetic, customer- and data-driven problem solver
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and comfort with ambiguity
  • Above-average written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to collaborate with communications partners and industry players to resolve issues
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure
