About the role

Cybersecurity Engineer position in Hong Kong focusing on protecting employees, data, and infrastructure through monitoring, incident response, remediation, and cross-team security enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and using monitoring tools to guard the firm, as well as handling incident response and remediation when a threat is found.
  • Carefully consider the context of decisions as we think about tradeoffs in resolving cybersecurity issues.
  • Act as an ambassador of best practices to the rest of the firm; promote good personal cybersecurity hygiene and educate colleagues.
  • Perform unstructured investigations to locate and repair the source of a security issue.

Qualifications

  • Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • An avid follower of cybersecurity news
  • A strong programmer who can demonstrate high potential and an aptitude for learning
  • Comfortable with managing code and configurations in version control; familiarity with editor of choice
  • Familiar with threat modeling, and able to communicate tradeoffs to internal stakeholders
  • Ability to explain cybersecurity decisions and thought processes
  • Ability to adapt to changing scenarios and make challenging decisions under pressure
  • Humility and willingness to ask questions and admit mistakes
  • Curious problem solver with a positive, collaborative attitude
  • Fluent in English
