About the role

Senior BI Engineer to support Team Snapchat by delivering data-driven insights, dashboards, and recommendations to optimize advertiser performance and revenue growth; partner with cross-functional teams, build measurement strategies, and influence decision-making through data storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business challenges and help leadership make data-driven decisions by analyzing and collating data from multiple sources.
  • Identify performance trends across auction campaigns to optimize recommendations; evangelize best practices across the account management group.
  • Provide analysis, insights, reports and actionable recommendations to impact client and business success.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build measurement agendas/strategies and provide data-based insights for products in alpha or beta; give feedback on data tools in development.
  • Distill complex analytical concepts for broader audiences and influence decision-making through a data story.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to help the business understand and optimize advertiser performance and product development.
  • Proactively identify projects that impact revenue, define scope and objectives, and propose actions to attain objectives.
  • Work with Account Management to provide real-time analysis for auction campaigns and influence incremental spend through data-driven upsell recommendations.
  • Act as a thought leader, offering insights on vertical or category industry trends to strengthen Snap’s in-market pitch.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/economics/mathematics or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years experience in quantitative analysis and research
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python/R for analysis and data visualization
