About the role

Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing role at Snap Inc. within the Optical Engine Delivery Team, focused on early prototyping, characterization and transfer to manufacture of Snap’s AR display platform, working with contract manufacturers to scale OE processes.

Responsibilities

  • Help transfer designs and processes to CM’s & manufacturing partners
  • Understand the mechanical design and manufacturing processes
  • Analyse incoming component and sub-assembly data from component supplier contract manufacturer, and provide expertise to understand component and sub-assembly performance (e.g., dimensional)
  • Provide support with failure analysis including metrology and running DOE’s
  • Support process development (optimising for yield, CT, etc…)

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years experience in mechanical engineering or other relevant engineering experience
  • Experience with transferring mechanical designs to production
  • Experience with CAD design software (eg: NX,Solidworks)
  • Experience operating CMM and CT scanners

Skills

Required:Metrology (including CMM and CT)Mechanical design transfer to productionCAD software (NX, SolidWorks)
