About the role

Seasonal Sales Associate responsible for delivering a best-in-class customer experience, supporting daily store operations, and driving sales at Sur La Table during the seasonal period.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty
  • Maintains expertise by staying current on products, actively engaging in training, and seeking out additional resources
  • Actively engage customers, identify their needs, recommend relevant products or experiences, and lead a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture
  • Maximize selling opportunities by identifying customer needs and offering relevant solutions
  • Promote add-on sales and support events that grow store traffic and customer engagement
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals, contributing to overall store revenue
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, inclusive, high-performing store culture
  • Support onboarding of new associates by sharing product knowledge and best practices
  • Accurately and efficiently process transactions including sales, returns, and price checks using the POS system
  • Assist in daily opening and closing procedures, floor replenishment, and maintaining visual merchandising standards
  • Complete inventory transactions including receiving, MOS (Mark Out of Stock), and RARs (Return Authorization Requests)
  • Adhere to wage and hour laws, and accurately records time worked according to SLT Policy
  • Model and communicate Sur La Table policies and SOPs to associates and ensure compliance

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of employment
  • 1 year of retail sales experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred
