About the role

Weave's Users Infra team builds the foundational surfaces for authentication, user management, and multi-location organization modeling. The designer will work on platform-level patterns (SSO, authentication, user/permissions management, workspaces, and settings) that are reused across products, partnering closely with product and engineering managers and contributing to the design system.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end experiences for single sign-on and authentication — setup, identity configuration, MFA, and error/recovery states.
  • Enterprise-level user management flows: SSO configuration including group mapping and management of custom roles and access patterns.
  • Shape how multi-location organizations are modeled in Weave — workspaces, org hierarchy, and account switching for customers with varying numbers of locations.
  • Create platform patterns for reuse by other Weave product teams and contribute them back to the Design System.
  • Partner daily with product manager and engineering manager to define the Users Infra roadmap, incorporating user perspective in scoping and sequencing.
  • Ground work in customer evidence: talk with customers, explore Pendo and Sigma, and use learnings to guide direction.
  • Notice connections early and identify overlaps with other teams before shipping.
  • Help the work around you improve through critique, mentorship, and documentation engineers can build from without guessing.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years designing software products, including experience on B2B or platform surfaces such as admin, settings, identity, or permissions.
  • Ability to walk through two or more case studies tracing thinking from problem framing to end-to-end flows.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, and prototyping.
  • Design of complex, multi-step, cross-platform flows with attention to edge, error, and empty states.
  • Clear written and verbal communication of design thinking with engineers, partners, and leadership.
