About the role

Staff Software Engineer to join Partnerships Referrals & Conversions engineering team focusing on managing patient referrals, scalable referral pathways for partners, and referral-centric patient experiences. Lead technical direction, design durable systems, collaborate with product and design, mentor engineers, and leverage AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve systems behind referral management, partner data management, and patient booking experiences.
  • Design durable systems, weigh tradeoffs, and select suitable architectural approaches.
  • Lead complex technical projects across teams, shaping scope, estimates, and execution while aligning with business goals.
  • Mentor engineers, unblock peers, and raise technical bar across the organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering manager, product managers, designers, and other engineers to align technical decisions.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to improve velocity and time-to-value.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of related professional experience
  • Deep understanding of modern application design architecture, API design patterns, security, performance, and scaling
  • Experience designing and evolving system architectures with tradeoff analysis
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical projects across teams, shaping scope, estimates, and execution
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Fluent with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, etc.) and ability to articulate value and risks
