Platform Security Engineer at Omnea, hybrid in London, focusing on implementing security roadmaps, tooling, and compliance programs to scale security across a cloud-native SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and take ownership of our Security roadmap. Working with the Platform Lead, steadily take ownership over the Platform Security Roadmap, leading implementations and experiments to level up Omnea’s security posture.
  • Own Security Tooling. From safe-chain plugins to SAST/DAST tooling, onboard and evolve tooling to ensure our posture stays at the bleeding edge.
  • Deliver Compliance Programs. Help enable multiple additional compliance certifications to serve regulated industries.
  • Collaborate with our DevX streams. Enable safe and secure rapid shipping across the engineering org.
  • Implement hardening patterns. Improve code security in a scalable way across the codebase.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of platform engineering experience in high-growth, cloud-native SaaS environments (preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, IAM, networking) or equivalent
  • Product engineering background with a security focus
  • Experience designing reliable infrastructure and writing production code (TypeScript or similar)
  • Security as an enabler mindset with customer-centric approach
  • Bias for action and ability to automate toil
  • Strong coaching and culture-carrier capabilities
