About the role

Delivery Solutions Architect (DSA) at Databricks, a hybrid technical and commercial role focused on designing, implementing, and scaling data and AI solutions for customers. Serves as a trusted technical advisor embedded within customer organizations, leading architecture reviews, performance and cost optimizations, and customer enablement while driving growth through executive relationships and coordinated delivery efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Be the Databricks Architect working with customer technical teams on use cases/data products from development to go-live, addressing technical challenges and blockers and providing guidance, best practices and enablement
  • Lead the post-technical win technical account strategy and execution plan for the majority of Databricks use cases within our most strategic accounts
  • Be the internal point of contact for questions related to production/go-live status of agreed upon use cases within an account, often for multiple use cases in large organizations
  • Leverage Shared Services, User Education, Onboarding/Technical Services and Support resources to address tasks beyond scope, escalating to expert-level technical teams as needed
  • Create and execute a point-of-view on accelerating key use cases into production, coordinating with Professional Services on delivery of PS Engagement proposals
  • Navigate Databricks Product and Engineering teams for new product innovations and upgrades, presenting to customers when applicable
  • Provide internal and external updates on KPI/status of usage, customer health, risks and blockers, product adoption and use case progression to Field Engineering leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of delivery experience in Data, Analytics or AI with ability to contribute to technical debates and design
  • Programming experience in PySpark, Python and Databricks (or similar data platform)
  • Experience in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting roles
  • Understanding of distributed data and analytics systems and architecture
  • Experience attributing business value and outcomes to project deliverables
  • Technical program coordination including account and stakeholder management
  • Experience resolving escalations with senior customer technical stakeholders
  • Track record of overachievement against quota or goals
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
