About the role
Diligent AP/AR Specialist responsible for assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently and on a team.
Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process invoices from vendors
- Verify the accuracy of invoices, including pricing, quantities, and terms
- Ensure all items are coded correctly in system
- Monitor vendor emails and calls regarding billing and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors
- Issue payments via approved methods
- Reconcile vendor statements with accounts payable records to identify discrepancies
- Accurately prepare and generate customer sales orders confirmations based on customer purchase orders
- Accurately prepare and generate customer invoices based on delivery, contracts, or sales orders
- Deliver invoices to customers via mail, email, or customer website
- Maintain customer web site information files and register on additional sites as needed
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with customers
- Review aging reports, send monthly/weekly statements, and make collection calls as needed
- Enter check, credit card, and ACH payments
- Monitor customer emails and calls regarding invoicing and resolve discrepancies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 2+ years of experience
- Intermediate or Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables and advanced formulas a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload
