About the role
Senior data science role focused on turning rich body-imaging data into validated, production-ready computer vision and ML algorithms with clinical impact in Neko Health clinics and products.
Responsibilities
- Develop, verify, validate and deploy computer vision and ML algorithms for clinical decision support, and contribute to new product features or research breakthroughs that improve member outcomes
- Own problems end to end, from vague questions and real-world data to a model running in production
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, software engineers, medical doctors and clinical researchers to bridge sensor data and clinic deployment
- Combine classical, geometric and learned methods; use semi-, self-, or weakly-supervised approaches; rigorously evaluate; analyze clinical study data; support regulatory readiness
- Deliver production-quality code and integrate into backend infrastructure; use AI tools to move faster while maintaining ownership
- Mentor colleagues, review code and designs, promote openness and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in modern computer vision and deep learning on real-world camera or sensor data (detection, segmentation, tracking, 3D perception) with ability to choose classical or geometric methods when appropriate
- Track record of shipping algorithms to production under messy real-world conditions (lighting, motion, optics, calibration)
- Strong ML fundamentals and algorithmic thinking; ability to learn new problem types quickly and evaluate them properly
- Strong software engineering skills in Python with production-level code, testing, and code review
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or 2+ years post-PhD
- Experience in cross-functional R&D teams with hardware and software engineers
- Clear communication to clinicians, engineers and managers
- AI fluent; comfortable with latest tooling to boost productivity
- MSc or PhD in Computer Vision, ML, CS, Physics, Engineering or related field
- Motivation to apply strong science to preventative healthcare
