About the role

Inferact seeks a Corporate Controller to build and lead accounting and financial operations supporting growth. Responsible for reliable books, close processes, and reporting; translate customer agreements, infrastructure spending, and international operations into accounting policies and workflows. Hands-on role resolving issues and building processes, systems, and team capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting, technical accounting, audit coordination, and transaction processes behind payments, payroll, equity records, billing, collections, and cash controls.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, GTM, Legal, People, external advisors, and the Strategic Finance Lead to connect contracts and product usage to accurate invoices and revenue records.
  • Strengthen controls as complexity increases and automate repetitive work without sacrificing review.
  • Provide accounting foundation and financial operations to support planning and forecasting led by the Strategic Finance Lead.

Qualifications

  • Progressive accounting experience with ownership as Controller, Assistant Controller, Head of Accounting, or equivalent in a growing company.
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge and practical technical accounting judgment (revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, accruals, and implications of commercial agreements).
  • Ownership of complete close and financial statements, including reconciliations, journal-entry review, consolidation, and resolving material accounting issues.
  • Hands-on experience across financial operations (payables, receivables, billing, collections, payroll coordination, cash-management controls).
  • Experience coordinating external audits and building documented policies, supporting schedules, review procedures, and effective internal controls.
  • Experience implementing or improving an accounting system and related workflows to improve reliability and reduce manual work.
  • Clear communication, sound judgment, ability to work independently with operational leaders, external accountants, legal advisors, and a small internal team.
