About the role

Senior individual contributor and design-lead responsible for elevating Ro’s patient experience through design system evolution, creative direction, and AI-enabled design practices.

Responsibilities

  • Raise the design quality across Ro: lead through direct contribution with exceptional visual craft and product thinking for high-impact patient experiences.
  • Lead the evolution of Ro’s Design System: establish vision and roadmap, evolve visual language, and drive adoption.
  • Shape how our Design Systems enable AI-assisted product development: collaborate to leverage Ro’s systems with tools like Claude and Figma Make.
  • Bring creative direction to Vertical Growth: partner with teams to develop concepts that introduce prospective patients and improve conversion.
  • Turn creative exploration into org-wide leverage: identify patterns and codify ideas into reusable systems.
  • Lead hardest design problems from ambiguity to execution with proactive opportunities and strong point of view.
  • Elevate the broader Product Design org: mentor Senior and Staff designers, provide critique, and expand capabilities.
  • Partner with Product Design leadership on the future of the patient experience: set long-term creative direction and standards.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience designing and shipping high-impact digital products across web and mobile.
  • Exceptional visual and interaction craft demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
  • Ability to operate as both a systems thinker and hands-on maker; define scalable design languages and patterns.
  • Experience building, evolving, or driving adoption of design systems at scale with impact on quality and velocity.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and creative-direction skills to generate ideas and guide teams.
  • Experience designing consumer-facing experiences where brand, storytelling, growth, and conversion matter.
  • Demonstrated Principal-level leadership and influence, aligning cross-functional partners and mentoring other designers.
