About the role

The GTM Technology team builds and maintains the technical backbone of Plaid's go-to-market systems, including Salesforce development, integrations, data integrity, and AI-powered automations to support revenue operations.

Responsibilities

  • Salesforce development: Design, build, and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Flows that support core GTM processes.
  • Data integrity & diagnostics: Investigate and resolve issues in revenue-critical Apex services, tracing root causes across triggers, flows, and integration touchpoints.
  • Cross-platform integration: Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and the broader GTM stack (CPQ, CLM/contract tools, sales engagement platforms, data enrichment tools, data warehouse) using middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Tray.io), REST/SOAP APIs, and event-driven patterns.
  • AI & automation: Prototype and productionize AI-assisted workflows — using LLM APIs, Salesforce-hosted MCP servers, and agentic tooling — to automate manual RevOps processes (deal reviews, data QA, reporting, triage).
  • Platform architecture: Contribute to Salesforce architecture decisions (data model, sharing model, integration patterns, CI/CD via tools like Copado, Gearset) to scale Plaid's GTM motion.
  • Partnership: Work with RevOps, Deal Desk, Sales leadership, and Engineering to translate business requirements into reliable, well-tested technical solutions.
  • Quality & governance: Write testable, documented code; participate in code review and release management; support SOX/ITGC controls relevant to revenue systems where applicable.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience — Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL/SOSL, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP, platform events, middleware).
  • Experience with CPQ (Salesforce CPQ or similar) and understanding of quote-to-cash / lead-to-cash data flows.
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows, agentic systems, or LLM-backed automations that improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills, comfortable tracing data issues through Apex logic, automation, and upstream integrations.
  • Experience with integration/middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Tray.io, Workato, or similar) and modern API design.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals: version control (Git), CI/CD, testing discipline, and code review practices.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills with GTM Operations, Sales, Deal Desk, and Finance stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a proactive, builder-oriented mindset.
  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect) are a plus but not required.
