About the role
Lead and grow the organic social media presence for Colibri Group’s Teacher Education Ecosystem. Shape how brands appear across channels, create educator-focused stories, build engaged communities, and use performance insights to drive awareness, traffic, leads, and applications. Hands-on, contributor role with ownership of strategy, content production, community engagement, measurement, and influencer-program management.
Responsibilities
- Own organic social strategy and editorial planning: Build audience-specific strategies and content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging channels. Prioritize Instagram and TikTok for educator audiences, tailor LinkedIn content for school leaders and alumni, and explore Reddit communities.
- Create content hands-on, with a strong emphasis on short-form video: Concept, script, film, edit, caption, and publish videos; appear in talking-head content and live events; produce graphics, carousels, stories, and copy using Canva; collaborate with Graphic Designer; develop social assets to promote guides, events, and podcasts (without hosting the podcast).
- Build and serve engaged communities: Manage day-to-day organic social accounts, respond to comments/DMs, route admissions questions to the right team, identify educator and school-leader stories for engagement.
- Measure performance and continually improve results: Monitor growth, reach, engagement, video performance, website traffic, leads, guide downloads, and applications; use reporting and experiments to refine strategy and channel priorities.
- Manage influencer partnerships and collaborate across Marketing: Oversee external creators, briefs, approvals, deliverables, renewals, budgets, ROI; coordinate with content, design, and paid media teams; may travel for events.
Qualifications
- Approximately 2–4 years of professional organic social media experience managing accounts for an employer, organization, or agency client (not personal influencer accounts).
- Proven creation and on-camera skills: independently plan, film, edit, and publish short-form video; strong social copywriting; hands-on Canva/CapCut or similar tools.
- Demonstrated growth and analytical judgment: experience growing audiences and explaining KPIs, results, and data-driven changes.
- Audience-focused collaboration and execution: ability to tailor content for distinct audiences and manage a busy editorial calendar within a marketing team.
- Required professional portfolio: accessible portfolio or work samples showing organizational/client accounts, short-form videos produced, and measurable outcomes; education/edtech or influencer-program experience helpful but not required.
