About the role
Security Engineer responsible for defining, leading, and executing Latent's security roadmap across cloud, AI, data, application/product, IT, and incident response to securely enable employees and protect patient data.
Responsibilities
- Cloud Security: Harden Latent’s cloud environment to secure-by-default stance for developers and avoid unsafe Terraform outcomes.
- AI Security: Secure and compliant access to AI tools to prevent misuse of AI by employees.
- Data Security: Secure data warehouse to protect patient data and provide insights.
- Application and Product Security: Automate SDLC security, define security requirements for new features and enhancements.
- IT Security: Secure employee devices and applications, automate user provisioning, just-in-time access, elevated access provisioning, and device hardening.
- Incident Detection and Response: Investigate incidents, build detections tailored to Latent’s environment, and work with AI-native MDR service to improve accuracy.
Qualifications
- You’ve built IAM workflows (Okta, SSO, SAML, JIT provisioning) to give employees appropriate access.
- Designed and rolled out managed settings for AI tools and coding agents to create a secure sandbox for AI use.
- Collaborated with developers to help them write secure code and secure features.
- Hardened AWS cloud and CI/CD environments with well-scoped IAM roles, CIS standards, CSPM, and reducing findings backlog.
- Built and maintained a vulnerability management program across server, container, 3rd party OSS, and custom code.
- Automated security and compliance requirements for MacOS and BYOD endpoints using an MDM.
- Understanding of security alerts, investigations, and ability to write and tune detections for Latent’s environment.
