About the role

Software Engineers to build data systems behind frontier coding models’ initial training, focusing on large-scale crawling, data platform, and pipeline infrastructure to transform raw data into training datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own high-throughput, fully telemetered data pipelines with end-to-end traceability.
  • Train and ship models that classify, rank, filter, clean, and identify data at extreme throughput.
  • Design and run scaling-ladder experiments on data-mixture, repeatability, and quality depth.
  • Partner with Data Acquisition and training teams to improve data sources and impact on loss/evals.
  • Treat data quality as both a systems problem and a research problem, writing performance-critical code and designing experiments.

Qualifications

  • Strong infrastructure or data platform background (crawling/search infra a plus).
  • Ability to move quickly with ownership, possibly at staff level within years, or possess deep domain experience.
  • Ability to architect and ship end-to-end systems with high ownership; capable of debugging complex systems independently.
  • Strong intuition for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Interest in how pre-training data shapes model quality and in building observable, trustworthy data pipelines.
