About the role

Platform Engineering Productivity team manages CI/CD and Release infrastructure to enable scalable, secure, and speedy software delivery. Role focuses on defining roadmaps, improving release gates and supply chain security, guiding multi-quarter projects, and incident leadership while remaining hands-on where appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Define the roadmap and technical vision for CI/CD, from problem identification through org-wide adoption.
  • Identify bottlenecks, friction, or security risks in CI/CD and drive remediation.
  • Design and enforce release gates covering supply chain integrity, artifact provenance, and release readiness at scale.
  • Direct engineers on multi-quarter projects: break down architecture, assign work, own the outcome in distributed execution.
  • Drive technical communication and alignment across teams; produce high-quality documentation for systems, processes, and architectural decisions.
  • Serve as Incident Commander on high-severity supply chain or release incidents; use incidents to drive structural improvements.
  • Raise engineering standards through code reviews, mentorship, design reviews, and setting voluntary standards.
  • Remain hands-on at the right depth: review code, prototype approaches, and debug production issues; leverage others’ work to deliver outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in CI/CD and hardening release pipelines against supply chain attacks.
  • Strong debugging across the full pipeline stack (test runner, artifact store, cluster deployment).
  • Hands-on with CI infrastructure (Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or equivalent), GitOps/ArgoCD, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience using AI to accelerate work and understanding AI’s impact on supply chain security and scale.
  • Track record of multi-quarter, cross-org ownership and ability to drive changes in teams that do not report to you.
  • Judgment to push back on plans when needed and align on better approaches.
  • Experience directing other engineers toward outcomes, breaking down complex problems into executable work.
