About the role

We are building a finance function that leverages AI, automation, and modern tooling. The Accounting Data & Technology Manager will architect the redesign of accounting processes, build automation and data pipelines, and own SAP S/4HANA implementation while connecting SAP to the Databricks platform and Finance Datalake.

Responsibilities

  • SAP Implementation Governance (Near-Term) – Act as internal SAP S/4HANA SME, challenge design decisions, identify native SAP capabilities to replace manual workarounds, own requirements/testing/sign-off for SAP configuration across core FICO areas, partner on data migration and master data governance.
  • Continuous Improvement & Optimization (Post Go-Live) – Own SAP CI roadmap for accounting, streamline close processes, improve data quality, monitor performance, address gaps and bottlenecks.
  • SAP × Databricks Platform Integration – Design governance of SAP accounting data flowing into Databricks, define integration architecture, leverage Databricks AI/automation on SAP data, ensure Databricks platform is used effectively for internal finance operations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting systems, ERP administration, or finance technology with deep SAP S/4HANA FICO experience
  • SAP S/4HANA configuration across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and close management
  • Experience in at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation (business/functional)
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and how ERP config affects financial reporting
  • Experience with SAP master data governance and chart of accounts design
  • SOX experience with SAP controls
  • Ability to translate between accounting requirements and SAP configuration
  • Strong communication skills with senior finance leadership
  • High ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
