About the role

Senior Accounting Manager within the Controllership PMO leading strategic initiatives, automation efforts, and cross-functional programs to drive efficiency, scalability, and compliance for Twilio’s Controllership organization. Remote position based in Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple complex strategic initiatives with Controllership and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-scope, and on-budget delivery.
  • Drive automation of operational processes and contribute to CFO-level automation initiatives through project support and advocacy.
  • Champion org-wide change-management efforts with proactive stakeholder communication and problem-solving to foster idea sharing and development.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in Accounting, with preferred experience in global public companies with 1B+ in annual revenue
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, ability to interpret, document and operationalize new accounting scenarios
  • Direct experience with SOX, ability to identify risks and implement mitigations
  • Proven track record managing cross-functional projects from initiation to closure
  • Demonstrated success automating accounting and operational processes with automation tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, across multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience building productive relationships across orgs and levels
  • Natural ability to codify information and maintain institutional documentation
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or similar systems, including implementation and troubleshooting (desired)
