About the role

Desense Engineer position for Spectacles focusing on RF desense solutions, hardware/software collaboration, and validation to ensure robust performance of Spectacles products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative RF desense solutions (hardware and software) to ensure robust system performance
  • Collaborate with RF, antenna, electrical, mechanical, and software teams to integrate RF systems into Spectacles products and ensure compliance with performance standards
  • Conduct rigorous lab and OTA testing of RF systems, perform sensitivity and coexistence testing (LTE, 5G, WiFi, GNSS, Bluetooth, etc.), and validate performance against industry standards
  • Characterize desense caused by internal aggressors (CPU, memory, power converters, displays, etc.) and external interferers. Trace root causes using probes, shielding tests, grounding checks, and layout reviews
  • Identify system performance bottlenecks (impacts) due to antenna, RF board, assembly dependencies, multi-radio operation, etc.
  • Develop and execute coexistence test plans and generate validation reports
  • Author clear and comprehensive documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or physics or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical, RF, and/or computer engineering
