About the role

Senior Data Scientist role at Zartis focusing on reputation risk intelligence. Hybrid and EU-based, working on an AI-native intelligence platform to identify emerging narratives, assess reputation risk, and deliver production-ready solutions with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Reputation scoring: improve and validate models powering reputation scores, build evaluation frameworks for accuracy, stability, responsiveness, and explainability.
  • Narrative intelligence: advance identification and clustering of related content into meaningful narratives using embeddings, graph-based clustering, and human-labelled evaluations.
  • AI-powered scoring signals: experiment with and integrate new signals, including LLM-based relevance classification and source credibility.
  • Trust and integrity: identify coordinated activity, impersonation, scams and signals distorting reputational risk understanding.
  • Data quality and reliability: build automated validation, monitoring and safeguards for trustworthy intelligence.
  • Own agreed deliverables end to end, design experiments, challenge assumptions, demonstrate measurable improvements and contribute production code.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of applied data science experience, including developing, deploying and monitoring models or scoring systems in production.
  • Strong Python and SQL expertise with large-scale datasets.
  • Practical experience with LLMs: classification, prompt engineering, structured outputs and rigorous evaluation.
  • Experience with clustering and graph-based techniques, embeddings, similarity measures, and evaluating models lacking perfect ground truth.
  • Strong statistical foundations: sampling, confidence intervals, calibration, experiment design and human-labelling methodologies.
  • Production engineering experience, comfortable contributing code through pull requests; familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js and dbt alongside Python.
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate development while maintaining high engineering standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating analyses into actionable recommendations for Product, Engineering and business stakeholders.
