About the role
Growth Analytics & Operations Lead at Haystack News responsible for measuring paid growth, owning attribution and budget pacing, building LTV/CAC/payback models, and delivering automated dashboards and insights to drive growth and ROI.
Responsibilities
- Own paid growth measurement: MMP (AppsFlyer), SKAdNetwork, deep link tracking, and measurement of CTV placements on Roku, Fire TV, Vizio and Samsung; ensure MMP accuracy and fix drift.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering); MBA or MS preferred
- 2 to 3 years in growth/marketing analytics, marketing operations, or media buy operations, including at least 2 years in a paid acquisition team at a consumer app, streaming, media or gaming company
- Data native—fluent in SQL, comfortable in Snowflake (or similar), experience building analytics from 0→1 with automated dashboards (Looker, Mode, Tableau, or equivalent)
- Marketing Attribution Minded: owned or run an MMP/attribution setup (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch or similar); understanding of SKAdNetwork, lookback windows, deep linking; experience with incrementality or holdout tests
- Experimentation-minded: designs and interprets controlled tests; evaluates statistical significance and links results to actionable outcomes
- Business fluent: thinking in unit economics, growth levers, and ROI
- Built or maintained an LTV or payback model used for spend decisions; Python or R a plus
- Proactive and hands-on; able to implement and raise flags early
- Bonus: connected TV advertising, mobile gaming user acquisition, or ad-supported streaming
- Genuinely AI native: daily use of AI tools to write/check queries and build automations; able to demonstrate usage in interview
