Manufacturing Associate I | Associé(e) de fabrication I
About the role
Manufacturing Associate I at Nomic executes hands-on laboratory workflows to enable reliable, scalable production of reagents for the nELISA platform. Responsibilities include core manufacturing execution, quality-control assays, documentation, and continuous improvement, with training leading to independent operation across multiple workflows.
Responsibilities
- Execute core nELISA Manufacturing workflows according to established procedures.
- Independently complete assigned workflows following training and sign-off, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail throughout each run.
- Take ownership of assigned production activities, coordinating with Manufacturing team members to meet production timelines and communicating progress or risks promptly.
- Execute quality-control assays and routine in-process checks according to established procedures, using flow cytometry for QC readouts, documenting results, and communicating unexpected observations promptly.
- Maintain accurate material identification, traceability, and documentation throughout assigned Manufacturing workflows.
- Complete batch manufacturing records, inventory entries, and other required production documentation accurately and promptly.
- Rotate across multiple Manufacturing workflows to build technical breadth and provide flexible production coverage.
- Build proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS), production documentation, and automated equipment used in assigned workflows.
- Recognize routine equipment or automation issues and perform trained checks, seeking support when needed.
- Contribute observations and practical suggestions that improve the clarity, consistency, reliability, and scalability of Manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in life sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant laboratory experience.
- Prior hands-on wet-lab or laboratory production experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a structured, process-driven laboratory environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience with quality-control assays, flow cytometry, automated liquid-handling systems, or production documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy and consistency across recurring laboratory workflows.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, including accurate and complete documentation.
- Strong ownership and follow-through in completing assigned work and escalating discrepancies appropriately.

About Nomic Bio
Nomic is doing for proteins what Illumina has done for DNA
Nomic is doing for protein profiling, what Illumina did for DNA sequencing. Our core technology, the nELISA, is a next-gen immunoassay platform that transforms the ELISA into a high-throughput, high-content, and high-versatility tool. Today we developed the nELISA for high-throughput drug discovery scientists, enabling them profile 100s of proteins at 10x higher throughput and 10x lower cost compared to existing solutions. We're offering the nELISA through early access programs to HTS groups in top pharmas as well as pioneering biotechs in the space. Our goal is to create a ubiquitous technology that consolidates the broad range of legacy immunoassay toolkits that scientists use today with a single platform that can carry the science end-to-end, from discovery all the way to the clinic. We're a team of engineers, biologists, and highly-skilled lab operators that are looking to grow quickly to keep up with customer demand but also to continue developing our core technology, scale our multiplexing/throughput, and build our software stack. We're hiring on a number of positions including engineering, software, biology, and ops. Come talk to us!
