About the role

Staff Product Manager responsible for standardizing AI-powered features across caregiver and clinician surfaces, ensuring AI features move from shadow mode to production with trust, and aligning AI development with regulatory and clinical scrutiny within Abby Care’s hybrid San Francisco office.

Responsibilities

  • Define the Evaluation Standard: Own the gate clinical or caregiver-facing AI features have to clear. Decide what “ready” means and raise the bar for features to get there.
  • Own Cross-Surface AI Consistency: Ensure caregiver and clinician products reason about the same patient in a consistent manner across surfaces.
  • Set the Bar for AI Product Development: Partner with PMs across product areas to raise AI feature specs, evaluation criteria, and collaboration with Applied AI.
  • Partner Directly with Applied AI Leadership: Work at the architecture level on how caregiver AI and clinician AI are evaluated, monitored, and iterated post-launch.
  • Build for Regulated, Clinically Critical Ground Truth: Ensure evaluation frameworks hold up to clinical scrutiny and payer/compliance review with clinical leadership and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of leading complex, high-impact AI or ML product initiatives at a Staff or Lead PM level in a high-growth tech environment.
  • AI Product Depth: Experience designing evaluation frameworks for AI systems in production and gating features before/after launch.
  • Technical Fluency: Strong technical acumen to evaluate trade-offs with engineering and Applied ML/AI teams (coding not required).
  • Customer Obsession: Empathy for users (family caregivers and care recipients) with rigorous qualitative/quantitative research in regulated environments.
  • Relentless Resourcefulness: Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments and deliver results responsibly.
  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to translate healthcare and technical concepts into clear product requirements and executive-level narratives.
