Order Management Operations & Automation
LangChain· Revenue Operations
San Francisco, CA$155k - $185kFull-timePosted 4d ago
About the role
Senior individual contributor role owning end-to-end order operations, focusing on automating and scaling order-to-cash processes across multiple channels (direct, AWS/GCP/Azure marketplace, self-serve usage-based billing) with a modern tech stack (Salesforce, Metronome, Rillet).
Responsibilities
- Own the order-to-cash path end to end: order form intake from Deal Desk, booking in Salesforce, plan and entitlement setup in Metronome, invoicing and revenue recognition through Rillet, and the amendments, true-ups, and renewals that follow
- Build out cloud marketplace operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure: private offer setup, usage reporting to each marketplace, and reconciling marketplace disbursements back to what we billed
- Own self-serve billing operations: usage metering, plan changes, dunning, credits, rebills, refunds, and the escalations behind them
- Own billing and usage completeness at month-end close. Every order, credit, and metered event is reconciled between Metronome and Rillet before revenue is recognized
- Partner with Deal Strategy and Product on pricing evolution to ensure billing alignment with new models and terms
- Set the automation roadmap: determine what to automate, redesign, or keep manual to scale order volume
- Treat billing errors as defects: root-cause analysis and comprehensive fixes
- Ship automations and collaborate with GTM Systems and Enterprise Engineering where appropriate
- Write playbooks and controls for approvals, segregation of duties, reconciliations, and exception handling to scale via systems
- Own three metrics: touchless order rate, signature-to-provisioned cycle time, and billing accuracy
Qualifications
- 6+ years in order management, order-to-cash, billing operations, or revenue operations at a B2B SaaS company, including building the function at an early-stage or fast-scaling one
- Hands-on fluency with a modern billing and ERP stack (Salesforce, Metronome, Rillet) or equivalent
- Experience with usage-based pricing (metered consumption, commits, drawdowns, true-ups)
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 and month-end close
- Cloud marketplace experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure private offers) or deep experience with similar systems
- History of automating your own job and delivering quantified improvements
- Ability to build cross-team alignment and drive decisions without formal authority
- Comfort shipping a v0 and iterating based on feedback
- Nice to have: SQL, Python, or low-code tooling; experience building agents/LLM workflows for internal ops; audit prep or SOX readiness
