About the role

Licensed Therapist position for remote delivery in Mississippi, part of Equip’s virtual eating disorder treatment program, collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team and delivering evidence-based therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses in a virtual clinic setting (telehealth).
  • Implement family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID, and other evidence-based treatments across the lifespan.
  • Maintain a caseload of 30-40; allocate 20-26 hours to direct care with remaining time for administrative tasks.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing trainings.
  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team and outside providers.
  • Utilize between-session messaging to support patients and communicate with the treatment team via Equip’s EMR.
  • Attend Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and department meetings.
  • Maintain licensure in home state and obtain licensure in other states as requested (licensure costs covered by Equip).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Mississippi.
  • Ability to support a caseload of patients of all ages, backgrounds, and acuity levels.
  • Passion for evidence-based care and treatment.
  • Ability to provide care 2 evenings per week (until 8pm in primary time zone).
  • Enthusiastic, strong team player.
  • Ability to deliver care virtually.
  • Passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment and expanding access.
