About the role

Senior Frontend Engineer for TwelveLabs Forge team, building platform and UX (Playground and Jockey App) to enable customers to explore and apply video AI technologies. Leads frontend design, reusable components, and collaboration with PM, designers, backend and AI engineers to deliver intuitive, scalable experiences across products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the Playground model exploration and Jockey App experiences to make complex features intuitive for customers.
  • Implement conversational UI, real-time responses, progress/status displays, and resilient UX in loading, error, and retry scenarios.
  • Design and improve frontend architecture that stabilizes common platform features (authentication, org management, billing, usage) and product data/state.
  • Collaborate with PMs and designers in product conception to define user flows, interactions, and trade-offs.
  • Work with backend and AI engineers on API and event interface design to integrate new models and agent features into Playground and Jockey App.
  • Develop reusable components and common UI patterns; enhance quality through testing, performance optimization, and accessibility improvements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of frontend development experience with ownership of production web app design, release, and operation.
  • Proficiency in React and TypeScript; experience with Next.js and React Query for structuring web apps and data flow.
  • Experience managing asynchronous data flows and complex UI state; able to deliver stable UX across loading, error, and retry scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of component design, state management, testing, and performance optimization to improve frontend quality and maintainability.
  • Ability to prioritize amidst changing requirements and collaborate with PMs, designers, and backend engineers to concretize solutions.
  • Business-level English for technical discussion and documentation; effective collaboration across roles and regions.
