About the role

Lead and scale the Forward Deployed Engineering team working with strategic enterprise accounts, owning delivery and day-to-day relationships, while building a partner FDE track with GSIs and consulting partners.

Responsibilities

  • Sell: Own the full arc from technical discovery to executive close; qualify opportunities with Sales and Account teams; lead architecture reviews; scope engagements with precision to de-risk delivery; build and present proposals with clear ROI; sell vision to C-suite; drive deal strategy for strategic accounts.
  • Deliver: Serve as executive technical sponsor on high-priority engagements; manage stakeholder relationships from IC engineers to C-suite; ensure delivery quality, scoping, milestone tracking, and clean handoffs; translate business outcomes to technical implementation; identify product gaps and escalate to Product/Engineering; manage active engagements; coach FDEs; build reusable playbooks.
  • Manage People: Lead, develop, and scale a team of 6–8 Forward Deployed Engineers; hire top-tier talent; set expectations and career growth paths; coach through hardest problems; build and scale the partner FDE track with GSI/consulting partners

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience leading technical teams that build and ship in production (Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or similar)
  • Experience with software development and coding in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Built and owned AI-native workflows in production and debugged real-world model failures
  • Ability to diagnose complex enterprise engineering environments quickly and scope meaningful engagements
  • Experience building and scaling IC-level technical teams with strong scoping and clean delivery
