About the role

Senior Solutions Architect responsible for the organization’s most complex customer engagements, driving consumption strategy, owning executive-level relationships, and serving as the technical authority for accounts in the Nordics. Focused on Startup & Digital Native customers with a strong AI/tech specialization and ability to influence at executive levels.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical and consumption strategy in partnership with Account Executives for Startup & Digital Native customers in the Nordics region, directly influencing platform adoption and revenue growth.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the broader cloud ecosystem and 3rd-party applications, ensuring alignment with Databricks vision and solution strategy.
  • Be a 'champion’ for both customers and colleagues, acting as an expert architect and trusted advisor for significant data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence platform.
  • Lead the most complex architecture engagements: multi-workload platforms, enterprise-wide migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
  • Contribute to Field Engineering thought leadership through customer-facing content, workshops, and community engagement.
  • Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use-case prioritisation and building technical champions.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role
  • A strong "AI-Builder" mindset; Expert-level coding proficiency — Python, SQL, and ideally Spark/PySpark. Live coding assessment and platform build during interview process
  • Proven track record of driving consumption growth and platform adoption with customers; experience with Startups and Digital Native organisations advantageous
  • Strong technical architecture skills with deep expertise in enterprise data technologies: distributed systems at scale, streaming/real-time, lakehouse design patterns, data governance frameworks, and cloud-native platforms
  • Expert-level cloud platform knowledge (Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP or equivalent depth)
  • Declared technical specialisation with recognised depth — e.g., real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry-specific solutions
  • Executive presence and strategic thinking - ability to influence Directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders on long-term data and AI strategy
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience)
