About the role

Role focused on developing as a field engineer in Sao Paulo, Brazil, building prototypes and demos to help customers adopt Databricks, with a builder-first mindset and opportunities to lead workshops and become a regional technical advisor.

Responsibilities

  • - Form successful relationships with customers throughout your assigned territory, providing technical and business value to Databricks customers in collaboration with Account Executives.
  • - Operate as an expert in big data analytics to excite customers about Databricks and develop into a champion and trusted advisor on architecture, design, and implementation.
  • - Adopt a builder-first approach: write code, build demos, and create reusable assets that accelerate customer outcomes; use AI tools to increase productivity.
  • - Scale best practices in the field and support customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, demo applications, and help build the Databricks community in the region through workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
  • - Grow knowledge to the level of a technical and/or industry specialist.

Qualifications

  • - 1+ years of technical experience in a customer-facing role.
  • - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • - Builder mindset with hands-on prototyping and comfort using AI-assisted development tools.
  • - Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala, and proficiency in SQL.
  • - Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) is a plus.
  • - Aptitude to interact with customers confidently and professionally.
  • - Ability to meet technical training and role-specific outcomes within 6 months of hire.
