About the role

Databricks is seeking a Compensation and Analytics Intelligence Lead to drive compensation intelligence and analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making across compensation processes. The role reports to the VP of Total Rewards and combines compensation expertise with advanced analytics, data engineering, and business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • AI & Data Strategy Lead (60%) — serve as the lead subject matter expert on AI and data strategy within the Compensation function; collaborate with People Intelligence and IT to design, architect, test, and deploy automated workflows and AI-driven solutions across core compensation processes.
  • Enterprise Program Analytics (30%) — lead company-wide compensation analytics, oversee total compensation budget forecasting, and provide analytical framework for major executive program decisions.
  • Market Intelligence & Executive Reporting (10%) — monitor, evaluate, and report on market dynamics across cash, equity, and total rewards programs through QBRs and executive summaries.

Qualifications

  • Analytics: Data fluency, ability to transform unstructured data into insights; narrative synthesis; scalable systems.
  • Technical & Platform Expertise — advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel; strong SQL; hands-on experience with BI platforms (Databricks preferred); Python proficiency; experience applying AI in compensation analytics.
  • AI Leadership & Data Governance — commitment to AI responsibly enhancing compensation processes with strict data privacy and governance.
  • Compensation: Mastery of job architecture, compensation structures, market benchmarking, merit and equity cycles, offer structuring, financial modeling.
  • Business Acumen & Strategic Partnership — ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic compensation strategies; experience partnering with Finance and senior leadership.
